Hazem is an Egyptian DJ, collector and owner of the Cairo
record store Yellow Tape Records & Culture. His vibrant
collection of vinyl spans from jazz fusion to warm
downtempo, breaks to deep house, and has more recently
focused itself between techno-house, electro house and
mild electro.
Having successfully established the first electronic record
store in Cairo in 2020, Hazem fine-tuned his mixing skills
in between work amidst the pandemic. His new-found
hobby turned into a fiery passion and digging became a
second-nature habit for both himself and to create a sound
for the store and the community that took a liking to it.
As a lover of the tangible music form, Hazem’s sets are
never short of precious and oftentimes label-less music
combined with his artistic versatility and diligent mixing.
